Oh, i'ts been a long time....

I logged on here to see where I left off, it's amazing how fast a year goes by. As Lent begins (last week) I have a couple of resolutions/changes to make. I'll be 36 in July so of course getting back in shape is on the agenda, taking some time for myself, and getting things rolling and finishing up projects.

We were expecting snow today, at least overnight and nothing. That's OK with me since Genevieve doesn't like it anyway. Will start with the updates soon. Going to load some pictures today.

Ciao!

Yes, I'm a bit behind...

I only thought I would have time to post new photos, etc during my Saturday morning posts, but to no avail I didn't get it finished. Think I was busy reading Wicked and some other books, something I don't really have time to do.

Cheesy, cheesy Vivian...

So... Genevieve is now almost 10 months old and Vivian 4 1/2. Christmas was great. Vivian had a blast and Genevieve was very interested in the wrapping paper.

Genevieve is crawling around the house and loves to play in Vivian's room, much to her sisters chagrin. Vivian actually closes the door on her, didn't think I would see this for a couple of years down the road, and Genevieve screams. I find it humorous!! She's a squealy as ever, we think she might be an opera singer when she grows up.

Vivian's getting better on riding her bike she received from Santa. We all stared riding together. It's like the family version of the Biggest Loser! : )

I'm a couple of months (3 to be exact) behind my original post so I'll put up the pictures for you to see.

Genevieve and Vivan's visit to Santa. This was our second attempt to visit Santa. Our first visit the line was too long and I had to get Vivian to dance class, so we went again with Pamela, Sebastian and Siena. They had some good cousin time, too.
It's time for me to get ready to pick up Vivian from school. If the weather stays as rainy and cold this week, then I'll try to get more pictures downloaded from the camera. I do have more photos on my facebook site, too.
Happy New Year!

Updates and such

Geez, it's been almost 5 months since I've been able to update our blog. It's amazing how much time I don't have to do stuff like this. However, I will start updating more since my Junior League project is to work here every Saturday until the end of January. But since I don't have my own laptop with me I can't update with pictures of the girls.

Genevieve is growing so much!! She's already cutting teeth, one is all the way in and the other is not far behind. I'm guessing in a couple of weeks she will be fully mobile. Right now she can sit up by herself and army crawl across the floor. She'll get on her knees, rock a bit and then move about two "steps". Boy will our house change again!!!

Vivian is doing great at school. After the 3rd week she could write her name, a great accomplishment. She's enjoying her new teacher and has made some new friends in her class. Vivian keeps talking about her 5th birthday, which I'm not ready for since that means I have to get a year older... 35, not ready to think about that.

So, I will have some updated pics here either next Saturday or if I can this week when it's "quiet" at home.

Toodles!

First Picnic

Here's a picture of the new babies of Supper Club! Jake, Genevieve and Drew. We all went to Cool Thursdays concert at the Dallas Arboretum on May 8. They all did a great job and of course loved the music. We will be there again next week!

A little over 2 months...

It's been a little over 2 months now since Genevieve came into our world, doesn't sound like a long time but it sure does feel that way sometimes.

She's starting to sleep longer through the night, at least 5-6 hours from the last feeding. At her 2 month check-up, she weighed 9.03 lbs. and measured 21". I say she has "kissable" cheeks now, there' getting a little plumper and the fat rolls are starting grow!

We are preparing for school to be over for Vivian. Summer officially starts next week. She will be going to swimming lessons and will go the VBS this year. Think we will spend a lot of time at the KC pool this summer, ready to have my hair highlighted!

Our family is doing well, enjoy the new pics of the girls. Will update more often, hopefully!

Genevieve Alice Feagan

4 lbs. 15 oz. 18.5 inches

The long awaited arrival of our new princess. The blog has been neglected since Christmas, so there are several items which need to be added and will be as soon as I can get to it! With much anticipation our little girl is just perfect. As noted on a later post about concerns with the baby's bone lengths, we were told by the perinatologist she might be short (skeletal displayisia) or possibly Downs Syndrome. Needless to say Aaron and I didn't have much sleep the night before delivery.
We had dinner with my family the night before and my sisters Kimberly and Melanie were able to be in town, with much help to their husbands. Prayers were said, once again, our precious little baby. Darren and Pamela had Holy water from Rome and blessed everyone. Our prayers were answered with a clear bill of health, thank you for all of your prayers of petition. Our little Genevieve was covered at all ends: the Benedictine Nuns of the Redlands in Oklahoma, Sister Mary Rebbecca and a Priest which a personal friend of Darren and Pamela... just to name a few.

Vivian is having a lot of fun with her new sister. She is truly a great helper and is adjusting well to the new schedule. We are starting to go out as we had but a little at a time.

Genevieve is growing by leaps and bounds. At her 2 week appointment she weighed in at a whopping 5.15 and at 5 weeks was 7.08. We will see where we are on May 13 for her 2 month check up. She is starting to smile and "talk".

Vivian with Santa

Vivian had her annual trip to visit Santa. As you can see they are sharing quite a laugh, she just finished telling Santa she wanted a duck for Christmas! Hopefully she's not expecting the real thing!
